In July 2001, Grosse Pointe Farms placed a small lit buoy to mark the city water intake.  The water intake is about 1/4 mile off the Farms Park, and is reported to be 5 to 6 feet or so under water.  This thing is big and unforgiving!  Use caution in the area.

Great winter project for cruisers.  Read the page of notes to modify the basic plans for this cool 360 degree wind scoop to make it work like it was custom made for your 7.9
NEW! More useful links (rules, local buoy data, etc.)
